UsNew members are always welcome. You can join us at any time through the year at a suitable juncture. New members always welcome - no auditions! Please email Ceri Kindley (address below). Bach B Minor Mass (A Tribute to June Gordon) is presently rehearsing on Thursdays (Haddo Peatyards, 7.15pm) and Wednesday (St Andrews Cathedral, John Skinner room, 7.30pm). Membership is now CLOSED to women but we can still welcome tenors and basses. Singers can choose to attend one at either venue or both. If you are a tenor or bass non member who would like to join us for this concert on September 25th in the Music Hall, please contact Louise McGregor on 01651 842116. Next joining date is for the carols - great for beginners - on 4th November, or for our major opera production of L'elisir d'amore by Donizetti (April 13th, 15th and 16th, 2011) which has 2 taster rehearsals on October 7th and 28th and start in earnest on January 13th, 2011.
HCTVC membership for the BBC Radio 3 for Choir of the Year competition is now CLOSED. You can join us for the whole year, which includes our opera in April at a cost of £65 (OAPs £55, students £20). To get a taste of what we do, you are always welcome to attend any single rehearsal throughout the year free of charge. If you want to to join us late on in a rehearsal period, you may not be eligible for the next event (unless you know the work extremely well already), but you can join properly for the next event after that. So why not come along to our next rehearsal on a Thursday evening, 7.15pm - 9.30pm, The Peatyards, Haddo House? Our choir is available for weddings, carol concerts and other events. You can book a choir of any size - the fewer singers you require, the lower the fee. The smallest choir would number 12, the biggest 60! We offer the very best in quality of performance of classical music in the NE Scotland. We also have soloists, duets, trios and quartets available at very reasonable rates and we can find pianists or organists to accompany them.
